I am so fortunate to have dear friends who direct me to musical treasures like the performance above. I promise this will be the best five minutes you spend today. I defy you to stay unmoved watching it.
Coming soon: A re-construction of iteration #59 in my Mt. Rushmore Series. Thanks Ruth.
Reflections From The Bell Curve: #59: The Mt. Rushmore Series
Hey Pat .. WOW. Took me a while to be able to comment on this as I had to wait until the chills on my arms calmed down.
ReplyDeleteTwo absolutely beautiful voices joining in perfection. I agree with calling it Musical Rapture but it's also so much more. I'm familiar with both of these wonderful singers but this is the first time I've heard them singing together ... Thank you for sharing this. Seems like I should say more, but I'd rather go back and listen to it again ...
Be well,
Bob
Bob; So pleased at least one person - you - got around to telling me they took the time to listen to/watch this extraordinary clip. Wow!
DeleteFinally watched this one with Karen. Wonderful performance of a really touching song. Of course went down the rabbit hole with further Sara B. and Rufus W. performances. Rufus and sister Martha did a crazy and faithful rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
ReplyDeleteHey Steve; Good to see a comment from you, especially since it's about this remarkable performance. And boy do I know about that rabbit hole. Every time I start to do research for one of my music classes, I'm so deep into that hole I have trouble seeing light.
